Just wanted to post some of what I’ve been doing as a proof of concept for the Sherlock fangame I’ve been working on. The end result will hopefully be a detailed walkthrough of 221b, basic premise being Sherlock’s return to the flat and his deductions about what John has been doing. I’ve planned eight scenarios and their unique objects and deductions, but obviously haven’t gotten very far yet in the actual development.
Something I’m not sure is whether to display Sherlock’s conclusions as he makes them or just his observations like in the show and the player has to draw their own conclusions. Leaning towards the latter right now.
I know there are other fangames about but I don’t care cause this is my baby :) hopefully will have this ready to play (in some form) before series 3 is out, depending on uni and it’s level of terrible. But I’m pretty damn committed to seeing this one through to the end - no wimping out.
The shadows are all messed up, there are textures missing everywhere and there are too many steps (don’t know how I missed that), but it’s a decent start I think.
